Imo State Defies IPOB Sit-at-Home Order as Residents Flock to Governor Uzodimma's Inauguration

Residents of the South East region dismissed the Indigenous People of Biafra's (IPOB) sit-at-home order on Monday, as they poured into Imo state to witness the second term inauguration of Governor Hope Uzodimma.

The Dan Anyiam Stadium in Owerri witnessed an ongoing ceremony, defying the usual emptiness and scanty appearance on Mondays due to the IPOB directive. Major express roads connecting Imo state to other South East states, including Owerri-Mbaise, Owerri-Onitsha, Owerri-Aba, and Owerri-Okigwe, experienced increased vehicular movements.

Participants from Ebonyi, Enugu, Anambra, and Abia were observed driving into Imo state to attend Governor Uzodimma's inauguration.

Notably, National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Abdullahi Ganduje, and former National Chairman Adams Oshiomhole were already in town, with expectations of the presence of President Bola Tinubu, governors, and members of the National Assembly at the event.
