Minister John Enoh Affirms Presidency's Support for Super Eagles' AFCON Quest"

Minister of Sports Development, John Enoh, reiterated the unwavering support of the Presidency for the Super Eagles in their pursuit of victory at the upcoming African Cup of Nations (AFCON), set to commence on January 13, 2024, in Cote d’Ivoire.


Enoh disclosed this information to journalists at the Tunde Idiagbon International Airport in Ilorin during his visit to Kwara State. He emphasized the significant backing provided by the Presidency, affirming, "We are hoping that we are going to make the best out of it. We have the full backing of the president."

This statement underlines the firm commitment and belief in Nigeria’s Senior Men’s National team to excel in the prestigious tournament. The Minister conveyed the collective ambition of the Super Eagles to secure victory at the Africa Cup of Nations once more, aiming to replicate their triumph from a decade ago in South Africa.

Expressing collaboration between the Ministry and the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Enoh highlighted meticulous planning and execution in preparation for a successful tournament. With an ardent desire for triumph and steadfast Presidential support, the Super Eagles are gearing up to exhibit their skill and determination on the continental stage. 

The Ministry of Sports Development, working closely with the NFF, remains dedicated to fostering an enabling environment conducive to the team’s triumph.
