Benue APC congratulates Ortom over victory at Tribunal

The All Progressives Congress, APC, Benue
State chapter, has congratulated Governor
Samuel Ortom over his victory at the Benue
State Election Petitions Tribunal.
The party also hailed all Benue people for
their continued solidarity with the party and
confidence in the ability and capacity of the
governor to deliver them from the misery
occasioned by PDP misrule.
Reacting to the judgment of the Tribunal in
Makurdi, the State Secretary of the party, Hon.
Onov Tyuulugh, said the party had considered
the petition of Hon. Tarzoor and the PDP as
an act of dynamic inactivity but had to
diligently respond to it in accordance with due
process of the Change Mantra. Hon. Tyuulugh
declared that, the PDP was trusting in the
possibility of a Judicial Rigging; where they
would usurp the mandate of the people freely
given to the APC through the happenstance of
a mischievous judicial pronouncement; what
never happened.

The APC State Secretary said, Hon. Tarzoor
himself had admitted that he had lost the
election; and wondered what gave him the
temerity to challenge the will of the people if
he was truly a democrat. As for the PDP, Hon.
Onov Tyuulugh said, the party lost its
democratic content and the confidence of the
people long ago and had always depended on
rigging and manipulation of democratic and
judicial processes.
The State secretary added that, “those days
were gone forever. The PDP should therefore
content itself with the role of a virile
opposition party, apologize to Benue people
for the unnecessary distraction of challenging
the mandate so freely given and prepare
themselves for 2019.”
The APC scribe appreciated the Nigerian
Judiciary for its diligence and meticulousness
and said the APC will continue to have
confidence and trust in the Judiciary and its
functionaries as the last sanctuary of hope for
the oppressed masses if change must
subsist.
He appealed to the Judiciary to remain
focused and committed to justice and the
cause of the down trodden.
Hon. Onov Tyuulugh finally assured Benue
people of their determination and commitment
to deliver on their campaign
promises and serve the people
conscientiously as against the roguery,
carelessness, and impunity that was the
character and content of the PDP political
misadventure for 16 years.
He called on Benue people to continue to
trust Governor Samuel Ortom as he meant
well and was committed to serving them
selflessly.
